Privacy Policy

We never record or store your voice. When you use the pitch and range features, your microphone is analysed live on your device, in your browser. The audio is never recorded, uploaded or saved — only numeric results (such as a pitch-accuracy score or your detected note range) are stored so you can track progress.

What we collect

• Your name and email address (when you create an account).
• Your vocal register (e.g. male/female voice type) to tailor the exercises.
• Training history — which workouts you have completed and on what dates.
• Numeric voice results — pitch-accuracy scores and your detected vocal range (note values). No audio.
• Subscription status. Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.

How we use it

• To deliver the service and personalise your daily workout and progress.
• To manage your subscription and billing through Stripe.
• To send essential transactional emails (account, payment, reminders you opt into).

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Our legal basis (EU/EEA and UK)

Data protection law requires us to tell you the legal ground we rely on for each purpose:

• Performance of a contract — creating your account, delivering the training programme, tracking your progress and managing your subscription. Without this data we cannot provide the service.
• Legal obligation — keeping invoices and payment records, which Swedish bookkeeping law requires us to retain for seven years.
• Consent — practice reminders, if you choose to switch them on. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Legitimate interests — keeping the service secure and preventing abuse, balanced against your rights.

Service providers

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the service: Supabase (database and authentication, hosted in the EU), Stripe (payments and tax), Vercel (hosting) and Amazon Web Services (S3, which stores the exercise audio files — not your personal data). These providers may process data outside your country; where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you securely signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account. Deleting your account immediately and permanently removes your profile, training history and voice results from our database, and cancels any active subscription. You can also email us to request deletion.

One exception applies, and we want to be upfront about it: if you have ever paid us, Swedish bookkeeping law requires that the invoice and payment record are kept for seven years. Those records stay with Stripe and are used only for accounting and tax purposes — never to contact you or to rebuild your account.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and (in the EU/EEA, UK and similar regimes) object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any right, email hello@vocalworkoutoftheday.com. If you are in the EU/EEA you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
