Here are some things to do to prepare for your vocal workout: have a hot drink so the structures in the throat will be warmer, do some talking and wake up your body & mind, especially if it’s morning.
This training program is for healthy voices seeking steady development through regular training. Learn the exercises before starting your first “Vocal Workout of the Day”, i.e. the lyrics, melody, rhythm and the correct technique & purpose of each exercise. Go to the Practice Library anytime you need to revise an exercise.
The keys are designed to suit most singers but you’re not supposed to be able to sing the whole range. Stop singing if your voice stings, aches, feels strained or fatigued. Pay attention to the daily state of your voice. If an exercise starts in a key that’s too low, wait until it gets to the right key. Conversely, stop if it goes too high.
